The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the global leader in Functional Medicine, recently announced Susan Julian, NP, as a member of the May 2017 graduating class of IFM Certified Practitioners. Julian operates Julian Healthcare in Hagerstown, specializing in functional medicine services in addition to general clinic services.
As an IFM Certified Practitioner of The Institute for Functional Medicine’s Certification Program (IFMCP), Susan Julian is uniquely trained in the Functional Medicine model to identify and treat the root causes of chronic disease. To achieve the designation of IFM Certified Practitioner, Julian completed seven training seminars and passed stringent written and case study evaluations.
“More than 75% of healthcare costs in the United States are due to chronic conditions, and the current healthcare system is designed to treat the symptoms of disease rather than the root cause,” noted Julian. “As a functional medicine practitioner, I provide an individualized approach to medical care, investigating the impact of environment and lifestyle choices.”
Julian joins an elite group of approximately 600 practitioners who are certified through IFM’s Certification Program. For more information about Susan Julian and Julian Healthcare, follow Julian Healthcare on Facebook.
